NATCHEZ — Services for Adelita Elizondo Villalobos Cavazos, 87, of Clayton, who died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Money officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cavazos was born May 5, 1930, in Raymondville, Texas, the daughter of Domingo Villalobos and Maria Elizondo Villalobos. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and to take care of children. She was also a boot designer.

Mrs. Cavazos was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reyes Maldonado Cavazos; one brother, Jose Villalobos; one sister, Delia Rodriguez; and one granddaughter, Liza Diana Nichols.

Survivors include two daughters: Diana Williams and Irene Nelson; one son: Omar Villalobos Cavazos; three grandchildren, Stephanie Thibodeaux, Marcie Nelson and Tyler Crosby; three great grandchildren, Brooke Sims, Shelby Nugent and Colin Thibodeaux; and two sisters, Isabel Garza and Maria Gloria Hernandez.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Crosby, Cleve Williams, Michael Thibodeaux, William Mitchell, Tracy Norris and Randy Weatherly.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Mark Nelson and Michael Rodriguez.
