NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Jimmy Dale Bazemore, 70, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Jackson, will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Dylon Whitcliff officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Mr. Bazemore was born Oct. 29, 1947, in Meridian, the son of James Brian Bazemore and Darilene Germany Bazemore.

Jimmy retired after 25 years of service at Natchez Ford as a service manager. He loved preaching and singing gospel songs. He was a minister above all. He loved people and loved to minister and share God’s word with everyone that he met. One of his favorite churches to pastor was Satartia Baptist Church. While at Satartia, he helped form a youth group that created a drama about the rapture of God and traveled around ministering to youth all over Mississippi.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Faye Hall Bazemore; four sons, Charles Brian Bazemore and wife, Tonya, of Atlanta, Jason Thomas and Amber, of Mobile, Ala., Kevin Thomas and partner, John, of Houston, and Ryan Thomas and wife, Nikki, of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Tia, Thomas, Emma and Tripp; and a number of friends and family who will miss his ministry greatly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church in Natchez.
