March is National Women’s History Month and the 2018 theme is “Nevertheless, She Persisted.”
Certainly throughout history, women have persisted, persevered and played a significant role in shaping both American and world history all for the betterment of all mankind.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, A New You LLC, in conjunction with the NAPAC Museum, presents the inaugural “I Need a Makeover” conference to be held 9 a.m. Saturday at the NAPAC Museum, 301 Main St., Natchez.
The Conference endeavors to support, restore, empower and promote wellness among women of all ages and ethnicities. The workshops in the conference will feature four speakers, who will inspire women to move themselves from where they are to where they need and want to be.
The guest speakers:
* Josie Gilchrist Camper, M.Ed., who will speak on self-esteem in her presentation titled, “The Woman In the Mirror.”
* Shalonda White, M.S., will talk about emotional abuse in her presentation, “A Broken Crayon Still Colors.”
* Attorney Plezetta M. West, will speaks on self-acceptance in her presentation, “Mask Off: A Labor of Self-Love.”
* Marilyn Harris McDonald, will talk about overcoming life’s obstacles through her message, “Destined to Reign.”
* As the host of the motivational and informative conference, I invite young ladies (ages 13-18) and all women to this free event. Participants will be able to engage and interact with the guest speakers during our question and answer session. And, lunch will be served.
