FERRIDAY — Services for Mary L. Scott, 89, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was born Dec. 20, 1928, in St. Joseph, the 11th child born to John and Elizabeth Hebert Lewis.

She was a retired dietician. She enjoyed traveling, meeting people, fishing and cooking, especially her 7-Up cakes.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Toon” Scott; seven brothers, William, Willie, John, Fred, H.M., Toney and Sidney Lewis; and three sisters, Evelyn Walker, Mabel Lancaster and Clara Woodruff.

Survivors include her twin sister, Martha White of Ferriday and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
