Monmouth Historic Inn earns another AAA Four Diamond Rating

Monmouth Historic Inn has earned a Four Diamond Rating from AAA, the organization announced in a press release recently.
Monmouth is one of seven hotels and five restaurants in Mississippi that earned the prestigious rating in the past 12 months.
“The AAA Four Diamond Rating is attained by just 3.9 percent of the more than 58,000 hotels and restaurants inspected by AAA,” the AAA press release states.
Monmouth Historic Inn, established in 1981, has maintained a Four Diamond Rating from AAA for more than 30 years, “longest of any southern hotel,” its website states.
In addition to Monmouth Historic Inn, other hotels in Mississippi earning the Four Diamond Rating during the past 12 months:
Biloxi: Beau Rivage Resort & Casino (2002); Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi (2008); IP Casino Resort Spa (2007); Palace Casino Resort Hotel (2013);
Greenwood: The Alluvian Hotel (2006); and
Jackson: Fairview Inn (1995)
A total of 1,676 hotels throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received the Four Diamond Rating in the past 12 months, qualifying them for the 2018 Four Diamond Award list, according to the AAA press release.
“Four Diamond-rated hotels are stylish and refined with upscale physical attributes,” the release states. “Guests receive personalized attention from an experienced staff enhancing an extensive array of amenities in a luxurious setting. Four Diamond hotels account for 6.1 percent of the more than 27,000 AAA Inspected & Approved and Diamond Rated hotels.”

Hattiesburg: Purple Parrot Café (2008)
“Restaurants at the Four Diamond level offer a distinctive fine dining experience,” the AAA press release states. “Creative chefs, imaginative menus, fresh top-quality ingredients and expert staff distinguish these establishments. Four Diamond Award-winning restaurants make up just 2.3 percent of the 30,000 AAA Approved restaurants.”
