NATCHEZ — A memorial service for Sallie Jane Fortunato, 54, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at her residence, will be noon today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home

Sallie was a lifelong resident of Natchez. She loved the outdoors, riding motorcycles and riding horses. She was a friend to all who knew her and greeted everyone with a smile. She had a kind heart, kindred spirit and never stopped giving generously. She dearly loved her family and her pets. She was a collector of memorabilia — pictures, report cards and other treasures that she kept tidily tucked away in her home. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Noonie Fortunato.

Survivors include one son, Marke “Robby” Robertson Jr. and his fiancée, Sabrina Simms; her life partner, Donald Langley; one brother, Michael Fortunato and wife, Lyn; one sister, Anna Payne and husband, Brett; her stepmother, Catherine Fortunato; two stepbrothers, Jason Stringer and wife, Marlo, and Damon Stringer; three nieces, Ashley Robertson Bates, Logan Payne and Courtney Fortunato; and a number of close friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a preferred charity will be greatly appreciated.
