NATCHEZ — Services for Woodrow “Wooshie” Goings, 59, of Shreveport, La., who died Friday, April 6, 2018, at Pierremont Healthcare Center in Shreveport, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez Chapel with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.    

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Goings was born Feb. 5, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Samuel Goings and Alice B. Miller Goings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Samuel Lee Goings, Eugene Miller, Bernard Gaines and William Gaines.

Survivors include six sisters, Linda G. Malone, Ruthie L. Goings and Patricia Lucas, all of Ferriday, Nettie Perry and husband, Kenneth, and Bobbie Wiley and husband, Michael, all of Natchez, and Louise Herrington of Patterson, N.J.; six brothers, Joe W. Miller and wife, Markuetta, of Sacramento Calif., Harry Goings, John L. Goings, Ralph Goings and Jimmy R. Goings, all of Ferriday, and John L. Gaines and wife, Erma, of Lafayette, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
