NEW ORLEANS — Memorial services for Julie Spencer, 71, of New Orleans, who died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, will be noon Thursday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., in New Orleans.   

Julie was a graduate of Stephens College in Missouri and University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Oxford.

She also studied in Paris, France, at the Sorbonne. She was employed by D.H. Holmes in New Orleans as a buyer, Touro Hospital and the American-Italian Cultural Museum. She enjoyed international travel and time at the beach.

Ms. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Stephen Spencer Jr. and Mary Helen Spencer.

She is survived by one brother, Henry Stephen Spencer Jr.

Friends and relatives are welcome to attend the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA Animal Shelter.
