FROGMORE — Services for David Lee Leonard, 64, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Leonard was born Feb. 11, 1954, in Frogmore, the son of Joe Vaughn and Alice Leonard Fields.

He was a construction worker and a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Jovonda Lewis and Brittany Leonard, both of Ferriday; six grandchildren; three brothers, James Leonard and wife, Geraldine, of St. Lucia, Fla., Michael Leonard of Baton Rouge, and Jessie Vaughn of Dallas; eight sisters, Daisy Leonard of Ferriday, Ella Smith and husband, Charles, Linda Moore, Shirley Gullette and husband, Charles, all of Alexandria, La., Brenda Carter and Hurley Jean Humphrey, both of Carterville, Ga.; Patricia White of Atlanta, and Angelina Alexander; two uncles, David Leonard and wife, Willie Mae, and Joseph Leonard of Tacoma, Wash.; and two aunts, Ernestine Leonard and Geneva Leonard of Ferriday.
