NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman facing a second-degree murder charge received Monday a $500,000 bond.

Monique Shaquera Noble, 24, 301 McNeely Road, was being held at the Adams County Jail as of Monday afternoon, one day after police said she shot another woman to death outside a local nightclub.

The victim, Luquitia R. Owens, died at Merit Health Natchez from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Noble, police said, struck Owens twice with the pistol using blunt force, and during one of the strikes the gun fired, hitting Owens in the neck.
