Annie Thompson of Natchez and James Bass of Memphis, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica Kaye Thompson to Marshall Rouser III, son of Jacqueline Nichols and the late Billy Nichols of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. She is employed by Medical Plus Supplies in Houston.

She is the granddaughter of the late Annie Mae Thompson and the late Nathaniel Davis Sr., Elouise Bass and the late George Bass, all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman. He is employed by American Commercial Barge in Houston.

He is the grandson of Bessie Prater and the late Charles Prater of Natchez.

The wedding will be 5 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at The Springs in Angleton, Texas.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
