NATCHEZ — Services for Peggy Jean Nettles Ritchie, 84, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel.  

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ritchie was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Bogue Chitto. She was a member of the Lismore Baptist Church in Monterey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.E. Nettles and Elizabeth Nettles; husband, Bobby Glynn Ritchie; one son, Michael Wayne Ritchie; two sisters, Kathleen Garren and Sara Joyce Butler; and two brothers, James Edward Nettles and Walter Jeff Nettles.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Ritchie of Natchez and Tony Ritchie and wife, Beth, of Frisco, Texas; three grandchildren, Nolan Ritchie of Frisco, Byron Ritchie and wife, Misty, of New Roads, La., and Jeanne Weeks; four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Kaylie, Jordan and Jesse; one sister, Becky N. Vaughn-Furlow of Brookhaven; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
