Storms possible for area Thursday night

JACKSON — The National Weather Service in Jackson is reporting a chance of severe weather for Southwest Mississippi. Isolated severe storms could move into the Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi Delta late this evening through early tonight. Damaging wind gusts and small hail will be possible with this activity.
The weather for the weekend is forecast to be mainly partly cloudy and hot with slight chances of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High temperatures are expected to reach 92 degrees both Saturday and Sunday with low temperatures near 70 degrees.
Warmer than normal temperatures are expected again tonight.
