NATCHEZ — Services for Gloria Turner, 66, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Gloria was born on June 21, 1951, in Vidalia, the daughter of Willie Turner and Florida Turner. She was a graduate of Vidalia High School. She was also a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.  Gloria was a beautician and enjoyed hair styling, dancing, and being a mom.

She was preceded in death by her mother; three sons, Paul Godfrey, Eddie Hargraves III and Robert Hargraves; and one grandson, Rijias Woods.

Survivors include her father; two daughters, Gloria McKnight and husband, Calvin, and Jamie Lewis and husband, Overton Lewis Sr.; seven brothers, Ed McCraney, James Anderson, James Turner, Raymond Boyd, Johnnie Boyd, Thomas Swanson and Ernest Swanson; 15 sisters, Doris White, Bobbie Jean Parker, Florida Ivory, Joyce White, Lillian Turner, Patricia Swanson, Julia Swanson, Brenda Turner, Bobbie Nell Turner, Idell Washington, Doris Moore, Helen Jones, Ernestine Tatum, Ethel White and Shirley Swanson; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
