NATCHEZ — Niki Kay Stowers, of Katy, Texas, died peacefully in her sleep from complications associated with colon cancer, Monday, April 9, 2018, at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living in Katy.
Burial will be at the Natchez City Cemetery next to her maternal grandparents.
Family and close friends will gather Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the Barrel Room, next to Bowie’s, from 5 to 8 p.m. to celebrate Niki’s memory.
Niki was born Nov. 22, 1951, in Longview, Texas, the daughter of Charles O. Bolt Jr. and Pat Wilkins.
She attended Ferriday High School and University of Southern Mississippi-Natchez. Niki had a successful career as a commercial insurance adjuster working in Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, where she retired and remained near family.
Family and friends will remember her for her sense of humor, chocolate chip cookies, cheese cake and love of animals.
Niki was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Edgar Wilkins; maternal grandparents, George and Ruth Krueger; and paternal grandparents, Charles O. Bolt Sr. and Mittie Bolt.
Survivors include her mother of Katy; one daughter, Kristi White and husband, Barry, and their son, Parker, of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Sherry Pierce and husband, Frank, of Huntsville, Texas; two brothers, Buddy Bolt and wife, Denise, of Spring, Texas, and Steve Bolt and wife, Kim, of Katy; and nephews and nieces, Michael Torrey and family, Jeff Bolt and family, Jordan Bolt, Zach Bolt and Jennifer Walker and family.
