FAYETTE — Services for Emerson “Hill Cat” Hill Sr., 69, of Las Vegas, who died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greater Faith Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Antoine Eakins officiating.

Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Hill was born Nov. 11, 1948, in Jefferson County, the son of James Hill and Maggie Ross.

He served as a deacon and head usher at New Revelation Church in Las Vegas. He enjoyed cooking for the family and the community. He was a very fashionable man who loved to dress — his greatest love was his boots.

He was the owner of his business, “E-Hill Painting,” for 40 years.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents; co-parent, Bernice Frisbee; five sisters, Rosie Fleming, Thelma Hoye, Janie Marshall, Mary Tenner and Lilian Seward; and one brother, James Hill Jr.

Survivors include his adopted father, Noble Frisby; eight children, Tamara Hill and husband, Markest, Emerson Hill Jr., Tenia Hill and Amesha Washington, all of Mississippi, Renne Hill and Patrick Hill, of California, Patricia Thomas and husband, Timothy, Vanessa Harris and husband, Fredrick; 12 grandchildren, Ebony Hill, Del Rice Jr., Davaion Claiborne, Jacob Hill, Lewis Lumar, Javonate Washington, Jaranesha Washington, Wayne Tyler, Brittany Tyler, Jonisha Tyler, Tiffany Lee and Frantae Richardson; three best friends, Richard, Major and Robert; seven sisters, Earlene Singleton, Gail Frisby, Sandra Frisby, Hazel Hill, Barbra Ratcliff, Rebecca Bertola and Ruby Smith; six brothers, Adrian Frisby, Alvin Frisby, Jimmy Frisby, Fredrick Frisby, Edward Hill and Henry Hill; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
