NATCHEZ— Natchez police are asking potential victims of auto burglaries to come forward after a couple of suspects were arrested for burglarizing vehicles parked in a Natchez apartment complex parking lot.
The auto burglaries occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. Thursday, and two juvenile suspects have been arrested. Their names were not released, because they are juveniles.
Police said they recovered several items believed to have been stolen from vehicles parked in apartment complexes.
The suspects, Capt. Scott Frye said, confessed to taking items from unlocked cars in the parking lots of the Mark Apartments, Tara Apartments and the Village Green Apartments.
Frye asks residents of those complexes to check their vehicles to see if anything is missing.
“We need people to come forward to proceed with additional charges,” Frye said
Natchezians are advised to lock their car doors and to report suspicious activity. Do not leave any items, especially guns or valuables in a car, locked or unlocked, in any parking lot.
