CLAYTON — Services for Erick Darnell Burton Sr., 46, of Ferriday, who died Monday, June 11, 2018, in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.   

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Burton was born Sept. 9, 1971, in Natchez, the son of Charles Williams and Martha Burton.

He attended Vidalia High School and was employed as a barber. He was also a member of New St. James Baptist Church. Erick enjoyed barbecuing, playing dominoes and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; three brothers, Archie Williams, Derrick Burton and Darren Williams; and grandparents, Willie and Lillian Burton.

Survivors include his wife, Katrina LaShun Burton; his mother; two sons, Keanté Darnell Burton and Erick Burton Jr; three daughters, Jasmine Burton, Shandrieka Scott and Destiny Davis; one brother, Reggie Montgomery; four sisters, Shameka Burton, Sandra Burton, Sharon Moody and Nichelle Whitley; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
