NATCHEZ — This weekend an event is aimed to strengthen family ties while supporting health and wellness with a stream of both adult and family activities.

Hubb Network is partnering with CATCH Kids Inc., a nonprofit group that creates school and community clinics across northeast Mississippi where children under 18 can receive free care and prescribed medication from local volunteer professionals in their communities, to host the event.

The director and founder of Hubb Network, Robbie Cade Furdge, said this weekend’s festivities serve a dual-purpose: to fundraise for CATCH Kids and to encourage a healthy lifestyle — all while creating a fun, family environment, she said.

“We want healthy families, so we want to expose them to information that will help them be healthier. … Our goal is to unite families in a fun and family-friendly environment.”

Furdge said this weekend, adults can take a break from their busy careers and spend some critical quality time with their children and spouses.

“Some families need to reconnect, reset and re-engage — and just get used to being around each other,” she said.

All tickets can be purchased at www.hubbnetwork.com and proceeds will contribute to CATCH Kids. Inc.
