CANNONSBURG — Services for Manson LaShawn “Shawn” Wade, Ph.D., 50, of Birmingham, Ala., who died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pry’s Temple Church in Cannonsburg .

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Wade was born Dec. 13, 1967, in Natchez, the son of Manson Wade Jr. and Lula Duck Wade.

He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Barbara D. Holland; grandparents, Manson Wade Sr., Mary Ida Price Wade, Emma Haley and Prosse Pendleton.

Survivors include his father; three sisters, Gwendolyn Marshall, Patricia Duck and Deborah Ware; one aunt, Linda Coffie; one uncle, Joseph Haley; four nephews; three nieces; one special friend who was like a brother to him, Mark Shipman; one godchild, RJ Shipman; and a number of other relatives and friends.
