FAYETTE — Services for Lee V. Nelson, 75, of Fayette, who died Monday, June 18, 2018, in Fayette, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Cannonsburg with the Rev. Al Thompson III officiating.
Burial will follow at the Daughter’s Temple Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez branch, with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m.
Visitation will continue Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Nelson was born Dec. 10, 1942, the son of Herman Nelson Sr. and Camelia Davis Nelson.
He was a graduate of Liddell High School in Fayette and was employed by Brach’s Candy. He was also a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.
Lee enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Genora Nelson Dorsey and Patricia Nelson Jones; and one brother, Tommie Nelson.
Survivors include one son, Eric Nelson; two daughters, Shawnette Harris and Marjani Nelson; three brothers, John Nelson and wife, Dorothy, Henderson Nelson and wife, Linda, and Herman Nelson and wife, Linda; three sisters, Canary Grantham and husband, Napoleon, Shirley Hunt and husband, Clinton, and Dorothy N. Burnside; special friend of the family, Virginia Turner; and other relatives and friends.
