MEADVILLE — Services for Helen E. Havard, 76, of Natchez, who died Friday, June 29, 2018, at her son’s residence in Hattiesburg, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with the Rev. Marvin Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Havard was born June 28, 1942, in Meadville, the daughter of Morell Ezell and Fannie Mae Ezell.
Mrs. Havard was a homemaker, enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, watching the Atlanta Braves and spending time with her family. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Havard was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lee Havard; stepson, James L. Havard Jr.; stepdaughter, Debra Havard Hart; two sisters, Agnes Ezell West and Ena Jackson; five brothers, Everett, Farrell, Charles, Hubert and Harold Ezell; two grandsons, Kory Dewitt and Derrick Havard; and great-granddaughter, Maley Case Hammond.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Bass of Hattiesburg, Dewayne Bass and wife, Becky, of Bogue Chitto and Greg Bass and wife, Diana, of Brookhaven; stepdaughter, Shirley Havard Valentine of Natchez; two stepsons, Terry Havard and wife, Angie, of McCall Creek and Randy Havard of Centreville; two brothers, M.L. Ezell and wife, Marilyn, and Freddie Ezell; two sisters, Margie Halford and Dorothy Powell; 11 grandchildren, Shanna Clark, Amanda Taylor, Holli Touchstone, Tasha Lucas, Josh Bass, Kelsey Bass, Justin Ebarb, Kimberly Dewitt, Sarah McPhate, Summer Valentine and Eric Hart; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh Bass, the Rev. Timothy Touchstone, Jay Ezell, Justin Ebarb and Billy Lucas.
