MCCALL CREEK — Graveside services for Jessie Mae Womack Watson, 87, of Natchez, who died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McCall Creek Church of God Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Bude chapel.
Mrs. Watson was born Feb. 5, 1931, in Eddiceton, the daughter of Ellis Patrick Womack and Mattie Arnold Womack.
Watson was a 1949 graduate of McCall High School, a 1950 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Junior College and a 1953 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in business education. She was also a member of Pi Omega Pi Honorary Business Education Society, Auburn Garden Club, Natchez Chapter of the DAR and the Moose Club.
Watson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, James L. Watson; paternal grandparents, William “Billy” Womack and Celia Ann Kyle Womack; and maternal grandparents, Aulsey Arnold and Nellie Adelia Dixon Arnold.
Survivors include one son, James Ellis Watson of Natchez; one granddaughter, Kayla Jeanine Watson of Destrehan, La.; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives; very special friends, Guy of Lockport, La., and Janice Magee of Natchez; and faithful personal assistants, Peggy Rice, Dana Toney, Kay Caraway, Pat Streetman and Bonnie Williams.
