NATCHEZ — Services for Larry Darnell Phipps, 60, of Natchez, who died Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Egypt Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.    
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Phipps was born Sept. 5, 1957, the son of Engle Washington Jr. and Claudia Phipps Easton.
He was educated in the Natchez-Adams School District and was employed by Von Drehle Corporation as a technician III. He also enjoyed target shooting.
Phipps was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Edna Christmas Phipps, Annie Bell Washington, Otis Washington and Engle Washington Sr.; and one brother, Gregory Phipps.
Survivors include three sons, D’won Phipps Sr., Larry Foster Sr. and wife, Monique, and Rashad Mason; three daughters, Renada Phipps, LaToya Barnes and husband, Terrence, and LaKesha Blanton; one brother, Corey L. Phipps and wife, Linda; one sister, Brenda Smith and husband, Eddie; nine grandchildren, Jasmine, DJ,  Landen, Taylor, LaNiya, LI, Tyson, Terriney and TJ; four aunts, Helen Washington and husband, Eli, Helen Smith and husband, Willie, Beatrice Hillary, and Rose Free and husband, Franklin; three uncles, J.C. Washington, William Washington and Melvin Washington; and other relatives and friends.
