FERRIDAY — Services for Jessie Williams Jr., 68, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eternal Hope Pentecostal Church in Ferriday with the Rev. David Vaughn officiating.
Burial will follow at Moss Grove Church Cemetery in Jonesville under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 28, 1949, in Frogmore, the son of Jessie and Geneva Pierce Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Geneva Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Chatman Williams; five sons, Gannon, Jerome, Tyrone, Lambert and Jessie III, all of Ferriday; one brother, Benjamin Williams of Vidalia; six sisters, Lee Anna Williams, Rose Anna Williams, Vertis W. Royster and Jennie B. Ledet, all of Lake Charles, La., Clara Williams of Ruston, La., and Calola Williams of Ridgeland; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two uncles, Alonzo Edwards and Arthur Edwards, both of Jonesville; and one aunt, Josephine Edwards of Lake Charles.
