HOOVER, Ala. — A memorial service for Mary Margaret Green, 63, who died Monday, July 2, 2018, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Riverchase Methodist Church, 1953 Old Montgomery Highway in Hoover, Ala.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Ala.

Green was born and raised in Natchez and was a graduate of South Natchez High School. In 1976, after earning degrees in business administration and accounting from Mississippi University for Women, she moved to Birmingham, Ala., and there she joined Industrial Chemicals Inc., where she was a loyal and valued employee for 42 years, serving as accounting manager.

Green was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church for the past 27 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the choir at Bessemer First United Methodist Church for 11 years and then became a member of the choir at Riverchase UMC for the past 27 years.

Green touched and inspired many as she journeyed through her courageous 10-year battle with cancer.

She was a loving and caring daughter, sister and aunt as well as a friend to many.

Green was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Susie Green.

Survivors include three sisters, her twin, Carol Green, Dianne Robert and husband, Joel, all of Hoover, and Lisa Harris and husband, Bill, of Raymond; one brother, Newton Green and wife, Alta, of Ringgold, Ga.; three nephews, Will Harris and wife, Ellen, of Pearl, Christopher Green of Ringgold and Paul Roberts of Hoover; four nieces, Tiffany Hall and husband, Ryan, of Ringgold, Emily Roberson and husband, Jason, of Clinton, Rebecca Harris of Raymond and Kim Davis and husband, Roy, of Gardendale, Ala.; one great-nephew, Bryson Harris of Pearl; and one great-niece, Olivia Roberson of Clinton,
