WALLIS, Texas — Services for Shirley Ann Schellhase, 71, of Wallis, Texas, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, in Wallis, Texas, with the Rev. Thuy Nguyen, officating.

Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Church Cemetery Mausoleum in Wallis.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Schmidt Funeral Home East Avenue Chapel, in Katy, where a wake service will be held and a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Shirley Ann Schellhase was born on Sept. 11, 1946 in Tylertown to Fred Arnold Davis and Maggie Jewel Calhoun Davis.

On Oct. 8, 1993, she married Dr. William “Bill” Schellhase in Middletown, Connecticut. She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church, in Wallis, and a member of the Weston Lake Ladies Club. Shirley was an avid golfer and she loved travelling and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Frank David Lathrop.

She is survived by her husband of Weston Lakes; her children, Christopher Scott Lathrop and his wife Janet of St. Francis Bill, La., Melanie Peralta and her husband John of Lufkin, Texas, Collin Andrew Lathrop and his wife, Raven, of Fulshear, William Paul Shellhase Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Milsap, Texas, Margaret Joanna Mitchell and her husband Mike of San Antonio; grandchildren, Kate Margaret Mitchell, Raven Reagan Peralta, Frank Daniel Lathrop, Lora Elizabeth Lathrop, Carter Davis Lathrop, Christopher Michael Lathrop, Parker Leslie Lathroop, Tucker Luke Lathrop, Chandler Monica Lathrop and Simone Elizabeht Lathrop.
