NATCHEZ — Masons celebrated the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi with fireworks over the Mississippi River. The Grand Lodge of Mississipi was originally forged July 27, 1818, in Natchez from separate lodges of Tennessee and Kentucky. The fireworks ended a day of celebration that included a reenactment and banquet at the Natchez Convention Center Friday night. The show was enjoyed by the masons and other people who line both sides of the river Friday night.
