NATCHEZ — Services for Roy Lynn Beach, 65, of Natchez, who died Wednesday Aug. 1, 2018, in Baton Rouge, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Wallace and the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.     
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Beach was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Roxie, the son of Spirgen Beach and Myrtle Jackson Beach.
He had a passion for cooking and grilling for everyone he met. He had a love for the woods and cruising timber. He found relaxation in operating equipment. When asked what he did to relax, he always answered “I work.” He was a very giving man and was the backbone of the Beach family. He was the best storyteller ever and never met a stranger. The light of his life was his three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Beach; and one sister, Gladys Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Beach; one daughter, Jami Temple and husband, Jonathon, of Santa Fe, Texas; his only begotten son, Joshua Beach and wife, Jennifer, of Natchez; three grandsons, who were his world, Travis Conner, Jaxson Beach and Brandt Beach; five brothers, Lamar Beach, Billy Beach, Bobby Beach, Gary Beach, all of Roxie, and Donald Beach of Natchez; two sisters, Helen Spence and Margie Rogers, both of Brookhaven; the mother of his children, Gail Chevallier Beach; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by two special pups, Snoopy and Lady.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stampley, Robby Powell, John Carlton, Jeremiah Wheeler, Adam Flynn and Dillon Murray.
