CENTREVILLE — The Amite School Center Lady Rebels overcame an early deficit to defeat the Centreville Academy Lady Tigers 12-2 in five innings Monday night in an MAIS District 4-AA game.

Centreville scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead, but the Lady Tigers could keep the momentum going after that. Amite School Center took the lead for good with four runs in the top of the second inning.

The Lady Rebels would add three runs in the top of the fourth and five runs in the top of the fifth. They had just five hits, but they also took advantage of four Lady Tigers errors.

Centerville Academy (4-5, 1-1) steps out of district to host Bowling Green School today at 6:15 p.m.
