WOODVILLE — Longtime Wilkinson County Chancery Court Clerk Thomas C. Tolliver Jr. died Tuesday, The Woodville Republican newspaper reported.

Tolliver, the newspaper reported, was at the time of his death, the longest serving chancery clerk currently in office in the State of Mississippi.

“Tolliver had been in declining health for the past several weeks,” the newspaper reports.

Tolliver died in the intensive care unit of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge where he had been a patient for several weeks, the newspaper reported.
