WOODVILLE — Services for Patricia Watson “Patsy” Spillman, 88, of St. Francisville, La., who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed McDaniel and the Rev. Dr. George Bannister officiating.        
Burial will follow at The Upper Place Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Spillman was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Ernest T. and R.T. Leake Watson.
She was a retired treasurer for the West Feliciana Parish Police Jury, a member of First Families of Mississippi, and a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a tenacity to follow principles that Christ gave to all of us.
Spillman was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Benjamin Tolbert; two brothers, Richard T. Watson and George E. Watson; daughter-in-law, Sissy Tolbert; father and mother-in-law, Llewellyn and Alice Spillman; and a dear aunt, Mattie Leake Morris.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, W.D. Spillman; four children, Patricia T. Dooley and husband, George Edward, Elias Lake Tolbert and wife, Nancy, Benjamin A. “Moose” Tolbert and wife, Patti, and Richard T. Tolbert; four stepchildren, Sara Ferguson, Laura S. Jenson and husband, Bobby, Brian Spillman and wife, Amy, and Don Spillman and wife, Heather; 22 grandchildren, Cherry Dooley, Pat Boeta, Ben Dooley, Benjamin Tolbert and wife, Whitney, Matthew Tolbert, Jennifer Cochet and husband, AJ, Ashley Tolbert, Mary Sessions Tolbert, Elizabeth Lake Tolbert, Thomas Tolbert and wife, Annie, Garrison Tolbert, Mary Margaret Pritchard and husband, Hal, Karley Rutledge and husband, B.T., Jill Ferguson, Piper Ferguson, Mason Spillman, Lauren Reap, Mattie Reap, Alli Spillman, Barrow Clement, Emily Spillman and Bennett Clement; 11 great-grandchildren, Graci Lake Boeta, Leslie Dooley, Cody Boeta, Brayson Boeta, Mary Collins Tolbert, Nora Tolbert, Nila Vae Cochet, Pearson Cochet, Judson Hart Cochet, Gunner Rutledge and Jackson “Sonny” Sjoden; and two sisters-in-law, Jamie Watson and Helen Spillman.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
