Mr. and Mrs. Ferrel Stephen Austin, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., and currently of West Monroe, La., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Annette Austin to John Hunter Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Taylor Jr., of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Sikeston High School and Mississippi State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.

A member of Delta Gamma Sorority, she currently lives in Memphis, Tenn., and is employed by Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center in Southhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrel Heigle Austin of Mounds, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wayne Tomlinson of Sikeston.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School in Memphis and a cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at Mississippi State, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. Since graduation, he has been employed by the Mississippi Land Bank in Senatobia, where he is currently vice president of business development.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noland Edward Biglane of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Taylor of Yazoo City.

The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
