NATCHEZ — Services for James Edward Davis, of Harvey, La., who died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, will be noon Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church in Natchez.   
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Heritage Funeral Directors Inc., 4101 St. Claude Ave., in New Orleans.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. until celebration of life services at 7 p.m., both at St. John Missionary Baptist Church No. 2, 1419 St. Bernard Ave., in New Orleans.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Davis Jr. and Sarah Dennis Davis; two sisters, Julia Mae Earls and Betty Verrett; one brother, Arthur Leon Davis; and two nephews, Arthur and Teric Davis.
Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Ollie Allen Davis; three sons, Shawn Smith and wife, LeWanda, Anthony Craig Mitchell and Justin Davis; seven stepchildren, Al’Neka Allen, Yvette Allen and husband, Albert, Mary Johnson, Yvonne Allen, Tyrone Allen and wife, Priscilla, Albert Allen and wife, Kimberly, Barbara Stovall and husband, Rogell; one brother, Herman Lee Davis and wife, Dale; five sisters, Mary Davis, Hazel Banks and husband, Larry, Terri Henyard, Myrtis Davis and Shirley Wyatt-McFarland and husband, Calvin; two granddaughters, Tonia and Kailaes Washington; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
His life and memory will be forever cherished.
