WOODVILLE — D’mario Weathersby accounted for five touchdowns as the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams, in the first year in MAIS 8-Man football, defeated the Riverdale Academy Rebels 50-22 Friday night.

Weathersby went 7-for-15 passing for 229 yards and three touchdowns. He also led WCCA in rushing with eight carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns. R.J. Fisher had three receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown to go with a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to begin the second half.

Landon Girior caught two passes from Weathersby on 2-point conversion attempts and led the defense with 10 tackles and three sacks. Will Olive turned back a promising drive by Riverdale late in the first half when he picked off a pass and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown.

WCCA (1-2) plays at Claiborne Academy Friday with kickoff at 7 p.m.
