Natchez hopes for another victory

NATCHEZ — There will be 13 high school football games tonight. While some teams will be looking to remain undefeated, a few others will be trying to pick up their first win of the 2018 season. Kickoff for all games is at 7 p.m.

Home games

The game of the week will take place at Tom F. Williams Memorial Stadium when Natchez High School (2-0) plays host to defending MHSAA Class 3A state champion Jefferson Davis County.

The Bulldogs, who are coming off a bye week, will look to not only remain undefeated but to also take momentum into MHSAA Region 3-5A play, which starts next week. Meanwhile, the Jaguars enter this game at 2-2 and on a two-game losing streak after home losses to Wayne County and East Central.

Adams County Christian School (3-0) hosts Columbia Academy (2-2) in an MAIS Class AAA non-district game.

Ferriday High School (0-2) plays its home opener Friday against LHSAA Class 5A LaGrange High School (0-2). Delta Charter School (1-1) hosts Class 2A General Trass High School (2-0).

Centreville Academy (2-2) hosts MAIS Class AAA Central Private School (3-1) for homecoming. Block High School (0-2) plays host to LHSAA Class 3A and LSWA Class 3A No. 3 Jena High School (2-0).

Road games

Cathedral High School (3-0) travels to Mendenhall to take on MAIS Class AAAA Simpson Academy (2-2). Vidalia High School (1-1) will be at Homer, La. to take on LHSAA Class 1A Homer High School (2-0). Franklin County High School (0-4) pays a visit to Monticello to go up against MHSAA Class 4A Lawrence County High School (3-1).

Wilkinson County High School (3-0) travels to LaPlace, La. to take on LHSAA Class 3A St. Charles Catholic High School (1-1). Sicily Island High School (1-1) plays at LaSalle High School (0-2).

Jefferson County High School (2-1) plays at MHSAA Class 6A Terry High School (4-0). Wilkinson County Christian Academy (1-2) will be at Claiborne Academy (1-3) in MAIS 8-Man football action.
