NATCHEZ — Services for Bobby G. Humphries, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul McElroy officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday and from noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Humphries was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Jena, La., the son of Evan and Edna Humphries.
He was a member of 61 South Church of Christ. He was also a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Humphries retired from International Paper Company in 1998 after 42 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alvin, Marvin and Carl.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alice Anderson Humphries; two sons, Bruce and wife, Lea, of Florence, and Robert of Sidney, Mont.; five grandsons, Shane Humphries of Kansas City, Mo., Curtis Humphries of Pearl, Eric Humphries of Florence, Cole and Kyle Humphries of Sidney; one granddaughter, Jessica Anthony and husband, Josh, of Madison; two brothers, Floyd of Jena, and Lamar of Houston; and a number of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Skates, Billy Skates, Tim Skates, Pat Cavin, Frank Patti and Glenn Smith.
Memorials may be made to 61 South Church of Christ in Natchez.
