Police still investigating weekend shootings

NATCHEZ — Natchez police officers are still investigating Saturday shootings that killed a Natchez man and injured two other Natchez men, police chief Walter Armstrong said.
The shootings occurred approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday and killed Damion Green, 23, who was at Maryland Heights apartments. The other shootings followed place at Watts Avenue and Dumas Drive, police said.
A bullet grazed one of the other victims, who were transported to Merit Health Natchez where he was treated and released. The other victim was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with a non-life-threatening injury.
A car believed to have been driven by the perpetrator was found abandoned and burned out off of Cemetery Road.
“We are still investigating,” Armstrong said Tuesday afternoon. “We have not made any arrests.”
