NATCHEZ — An Adams County man faces drug charges after Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies say they discovered a large amount of marijuana at a residence in the county Monday morning.
The Adams County Special Operations Group executed a search warrant at 33 Canvas Back Court in the Cranfield area early Monday morning, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said.
After searching the property, deputies said they discovered 28 ounces of marijuana, scales, packaging material and $1,190 cash.
Three people were on the property and Donald Eugene Butler, 58, claimed ownership of the marijuana, Patten said.
Butler was transported to the Adams County Jail and charged with possession of a schedule I drug (marijuana) with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, Patten said.
