MEADVILLE — The Franklin County High School Bulldogs travel to Port Gibson to take on the Port Gibson High School Blue Waves today at 7 p.m. in an MHSAA Region 7-3A game.

This is also a battle of the bottom two teams in Region 7-3A. Franklin County is 0-8 overall and 0-2 in region play after its tough loss at Hazlehurst in which the Bulldogs led 19-18 late in the third quarter.

Port Gibson had a bye last week.

The Blue Waves, who are 1-5 overall and 0-1 in region play, last played on Sept. 28, a 22-12 loss at Jefferson County. Their only win of the season came three weeks ago, 48-16 at Amite County High School.

When these two teams battled last year in Meadville, the Blue Waves escaped with a 14-13 win over the Bulldogs.
