NATCHEZ — Services for Vivian B. Joy, 91, of Picayune, formerly of Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Natchez Church of God with the Rev. Brian Monehan officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Joy was born May 5, 1927, in Franklin County, the daughter of Willie Halford and Janie Norris Halford.
She was a retired nurse’s aide at a number of nursing homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Joy; two sons, Roger James and Glyn Joy; one sister, Clonia Brown; and one brother, Douglas Halford.
Survivors include one daughter, Nora Andrews and husband, John; two grandchildren, Nicole Andrews and husband, Mike, and Wendy Andrews Matlock and husband, Tim; two great-grandchildren, Leighton Matlock and Emma Matlock; one brother, Weldon Halford and wife, Willie Mae; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jody Waldrop, Ken Hampton, Bobby Moore, Bill Woods, Doug Miller and Elmer Tate
