Junior Auxiliary has treat planned

October is full of exciting activities, but the ladies of Junior Auxiliary of Natchez want to add one more thing to your list.

We will be partnering with the Judge George Armstrong Library on Oct. 27 to host a special story time complete with a special guest, Maleficent from the Disney tale, “Sleeping Beauty.”

The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the children’s section located on the second floor of the Library. The ladies also will serve light refreshments after the story and parents who wish to take photos with the special guest will be able to do so at that time. The event should conclude by noon.

While the library provides regular story time every month, the ladies of JA wanted to join forces with them to bring something a little different to the table. It is our hope this event, as well as those in the future, will kindle a love of reading and story-telling in the life of each child in attendance.

Because the event is so close to Halloween, if any children wish to dress up, they are encouraged to do so. All JA ladies want to make this event as fun and positive as possible.

Please make plans to attend the event and bring a friend or two along for the adventure. Remember, this is a regular day of business for the Library, so you are able to check out books and utilize their other services as well. We look forward to seeing you there.

Morgan Groover is vice president of the Junior Auxiliary chapter in Natchez.
