NATCHEZ β€” Graveside services with military honors for David Richard Walley Sr., 69, of Natchez, who died at his residence last week, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Trinity Funeral Services.

Mr. Walley was born June 28, 1949 in Raleigh, the third of five children to James β€œPat” Walley and Ruth Margaret Bliss Walley.

Mr. Walley grew up in Taylorsville, and after high school proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1972. Following his military service, he earned a degree from Mississippi State University.

David was of the Baptist faith and made his career in, and retired from the Mississippi public school system as a teacher and counselor.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life he touched.

Mr. Walley was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Zeke Walley.

Survivors include his son, David R. Walley Jr.; brothers, Pete Walley and his wife, Linda, Bobby Walley, Larry Walley; sister, Jenny Walley; along with other extended family members.

Trinity Funeral Service is honored to serve the Walley family in their time of need.
