NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Gordon “Sonny” Smith III, 54, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, will be at 3 p.m. Today at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Hase officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Smith was born on Jan. 31, 1964, the son of Charles G. Smith Jr. and Gloria E. Seyfarth-Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie “Pap” Smith, Alice R. Smiht, Marion E. Seyfarth Sr. and Margaret Vernell Matthews Seyfarth; uncles, Oscar L. Seyfarth, Eddie “Laidbac” Seyfarth and Marion E. Seyfarth Jr.; cousins Sarah Paige Seyfarth and Tami L. Seyfarth McDonald.

Survivors include children, Charlie Alan Smith, Meagan A. Floyd and her husband, Cody, Morgan Smith, Matthew Smith and Crystal Hughes and her husband, Todd; his mother and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
