FERRIDAY — Services for William Earl Burton, 65, of Ferriday, who died Oct. 14, 2018, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday. Burial will be at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Burton was born Jan. 10, 1953 in McNeil, Ark., the son of Jessie and Christen Burton.

He was a retired crane operator and was honorably discharged from his service in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1973.

Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brian Burton.

Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Joseph Burton of Ferriday; two stepsons, Herman Atkins of Valdosta, Ga., and his children and Gerald D. Thomas and his children; one daughter, Ashley Burton of McNeil, Ark.; step-daughter, Frederica Studamire, and her husband, Michael, and their children of Dallas; two brothers, James Burton of Little Rock, Ark., and Edward Burton of Florida; and a number of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
