Officers responded to a call near Holiday Apartments about an altercation, however no one was on the scene when they arrived, Armstrong said.

Later that night, two brothers and a friend of theirs came to the Natchez Police Department alleging that a cousin and one other person forced them into a vehicle with a weapon after their cousin accused them of stealing firearms, Armstrong said.

The victims — two of them juveniles — told investigators they were let go in Adams County, Armstrong said.

Police have identified at least two suspects they believe are involved in the incident, Armstrong said — one suspect is the cousin of two of the victims whose name has not been released while investigators are still working to identify the second suspect, he said.

“Investigation is ongoing,” Armstrong said. “We do anticipate arrests being made.”
