NATCHEZ — Natchez High School will celebrate its homecoming with a downtown parade at 3 p.m.
Natchez-Adams School District Public Relations Coordinator Tony Fields said this year’s parade will start at Broadway Street and proceed down Franklin Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
Fields said the parade will feature the homecoming court, the Natchez High School marching band, and floats from each school in the district.
Community leaders, area dance teams and local businesses will also take part in the celebration, Fields said. The grand marshals of the parade will be Marcus and Tangela Sullivan in memory of their daughter Markia Sullivan, a Robert Lewis Magnet School student who recently died of cancer.
Tonight at 7 p.m. the Natchez High School Bulldogs will play Forest Hill with a presentation of the homecoming court at halftime.
