FERRIDAY — Services for Althea Frazier Ellis, 93, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery beside her husband, Strawder Ellis Sr., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ellis was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Waterproof, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes Lee Frazier.
She was a retired cook and of the Baptist faith.
Ellis was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Frazier and wife, Edith, of Clayton, and Karl Frazier and wife, Charlene, of Ferriday; four daughters, Martha Gray and husband, Yates, of San Mateo, Calif., Edwin Lindsey and husband, Otis, of Sunnyville, Calif., Gia Abbott of Seattle, and Karen Smith and husband, Keith, of St. Rose, La.; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members, loved ones and friends.
