BROOKHAVEN — Services for Judy Carolyn Hutson Sturdivant, 75, of Brookhaven, who died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral service.
Mrs. Sturdivant was born March 13, 1943, the daughter of L.G. Hutson and Jeanette Emma Ward Hutson.
She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa (ADK) teacher’s sorority.
Sturdivant was a teacher, principal and administrator for Natchez public schools. After retirement, she was an educational consultant for Copiah-Lincoln Community College and University of Southern Mississippi. She was also a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven.
Sturdivant was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, William Russel Sturdivant; one brother, Gary Hutson and wife, Reneé; 17 nieces and nephews, Kala Smith and husband, Jason, Erin Waltman and husband, Tod, Kyle Hutson and wife, Hannah, Kenny Cavin and wife, Renee, Don Cavin, Kathy Madden, Joan David and husband, Jerry, Ray Sturdivant and wife, Rebecca, Chip Sturdivant, Sharon Sturdivant, James Johnson and wife, Ellen, Mary Ann Peoples and husband, Joe, Sabrina Collins and husband, Billy, Dean Howard and wife, Elaine, William Howard and wife, Katrice, Annie Bigner and husband, Shannon, and Chris Sturdivant and wife, Michelle; and a number of other family members.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
