James Lawrence Smith

NATCHEZ — A service to remember and honor the life of James Lawrence Smith, 76, of Vidalia, formerly of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at LaSalle General Hospital, was 11 a.m. Saturday at First Church of Natchez, 606 U.S. 61 North in Natchez.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was retired from Sears and Roebuck Company where he was employed for 22 years as a service technician.
Survivors include three sons, James Henry Smith of Eustis, Fla., Andrew Louvell Smith of Greenville and Michael Lamar Smith of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Jarrell R. Smith and wife, Cris, of Atlanta and Jayla R. Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Cora M. Cowan of Carson City, Nev.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
